DOCUMENTARY:

Mondovino (2004)


A documentary on the impact of globalization on the world's different wine regions.


SOMM (2012)


This film follows four candidates who try to pass the extremely difficult Master Sommelier examination, a test with one of the lowest pass rates in the world.

 


A Year in Burgundy (2013)


The film follows seven wine-making families in the Burgundy region of France through the course of a full year, and delves into the cultural and creative process of making wine, as well as its deep ties to the land.

 


Red Obsession (2013)


This Australian documentary collects interviews with winemakers and wine lovers across the world. The film is narrated by Russell Crowe. 

 


A Year in Champagne (2014)


The film follows six Champagne Houses, from small independent makers to famous ones such as Gosset and Bollinger.


SOMM: Into the bottle (2015)


This documentary is a sequel to SOMM (2013). The film tells the story and history of wine through ten different bottles opened throughout the film in different chapters.

 


Natural Resistance (2016)


Twelve years after his first wine documentary, Mondovino, filmmaker Jonathan Nossiter follows four Italian winegrowers: Giovanna Tiezzi, Corrado Dottori, Elena Pantaleoni, and Stefano Belloti, as they struggle to make their dreams of a natural winemaking a reality.


Sour Grapes (2016)


A documentary about the fine and rare wine auction market centering around Rudy Kurniawan, one of the most high profile wine fraudsters in history, who befriended the rich and powerful and sold millions of dollars of fraudulent wine through the top auction houses.


SOMM 3 (2018)

The third film in the SOMM documentary series, following 2013's SOMM and 2015's SOMM: Into the bottle. This documentary centers on two tastings reminiscent of the 1976 Judgment of Paris.
 

 

FICTION:


You will be my son (2011)

Paul has no faith in his son, Martin, to inherit his prestigious family wine estate. Paul dreams of a harder-working, successful son - a dream that one day seemingly materializes when he meets Philippe, the son of his dying estate manager.

After a 10 year absence, Jean returns to his hometown when his father falls ill. Reuniting with his sister Juliette and his brother Jérémie, they have to re-build their relationship and trust as a family again.
