Visit and tasting at Le Pin with private customers of Wine Gallery in Avril 2019

Le Pin estate comprises 2,7 hectares in one contiguous vineyard surrounding the winery. It was named after a solitary pine tree planted on the property. The vineyard itself covers 2 hectares of gravelly clay and sandy gravel soils with traces of iron.

The wine of Le Pin is vinified in stainless steel tanks. In the cellars, all wine is moved by gravity. Malolactic fermentation takes place in new oak. The wine is made of 100% Merlot.

There is no second wine at Le Pin. However, a multi-vintage blend of 3 different years, called Trilogie is made from various declassified lots.

In 2011, just in time for the Bordeaux harvest, a new winery was inaugurated. The new building includes 7 temperature-controlled, stainless steel vats and an underground cellar.

Usually, 600 to 700 cases are produced per year.

On Monday 15 April 2019 a few private customers of Wine Gallery had the pleasure of visiting this estate.
